Overview

This article only applies to admins who federate Office 365 with Okta using WS-Fed Auto and perform an Update of Office 365 Single Sign-on Applications with Automatic Configuration to Support Microsoft Graph.

Cause

Administrators would like to validate whether the steps to Update Office 365 Single Sign-on Applications with Automatic Configuration to Support Microsoft Graph have already been performed.

Solution

In the Okta Admin:

  1. In the Admin Console, go to Applications > Applications.
  2. Select the Office 365 application, which is configured using the Automatic option.
  3. Click the Sign On tab (Okta Classic Engine) or Authentication tab (Okta Identity Engine).
  4. Check if Re-authenticate with Microsoft Office 365 is indicated on Office 365 API Access.

In Azure or Entra ID:

  1. Go to Microsoft Entra Admin Center.
  2. Go to Application > Enterprise applications.
  3. Look for Okta Graph Api Client - Federation.
