Overview

A new feature allows Okta Identity Security Posture Management (ISPM) administrators to integrate more than 300 provisioning-enabled applications from the Okta Integration Network (OIN) catalog. The Integrate with custom apps (SCIM) feature is currently at capacity for the Limited Early Access release and cannot accept new organizations. The feature will be available as an Early Access release to all ISPM organizations by the middle of the upcoming quarter.

Applies To
  • Okta Identity Engine (OIE)
  • Okta Classic Engine
  • Identity Security Posture Management (ISPM)
  • Okta Integration Network (OIN)
  • Okta Lifecycle Management
  • Integrate with custom apps (SCIM) feature
Solution

How is an Okta Integration Network application integrated with Identity Security Posture Management?

Follow these steps to integrate an OIN application with ISPM:

  1. Go to the Okta Admin Console, navigate to Applications, and select Browse App Integration Catalog.
  2. Search for the application and ensure it functions as an ISPM-supported application.
  3. Add the integration and complete the application configuration, including the General, Sign-On, and Provisioning settings. Confirm active and correct Provisioning configuration.
  4. Access the ISPM dashboard, navigate to Settings, select Sources Gallery, and search for the newly added application.
  5. Verify the application status displays as Available. This indicates the application exists in Okta with active provisioning.
  6. Select Next, enter a source name, and submit the configuration.
  7. Navigate to Settings, then select Connected sources, and verify that the connector shows a status of Connected.

This will bring the ISPM capabilities, such as "Partially off-boarded users", "No MFA", "Unused accounts", among others, to the OIN application.
