Solution
We’ve heard from customers that navigating across our products can create a fragmented user experience due to the differing user interfaces. To address this, Okta is creating a more unified look and feel across the End User Dashboard and Admin User Interfaces. For admins, we will be introducing a new element called App Switcher that allows quick access between the End User Dashboard, Okta Admin Console, and Workflows.
These new UIs will be released in phases over the next several months, as indicated above in the Impact Dates. Once Generally Available, the new UI will be the default, so please prepare and update any of your documentation that references Okta UIs.
Below is an example of the new navigation and gray background for end users. The same stylistic UI changes will be applied to other Okta apps.

NOTE: This UI update does not change any functionality within the menus.
Recommended Actions
While there are no required actions, customers should preview the new UI by enabling the self-service features and update any documentation that references Okta UIs for end users or admins. The self-service EA Features can be found in the Okta Admin Console > Features page with the following names and descriptions:
- Unified look and feel for Okta Admin Console - Okta first-party app navigation menus and page background have an updated look
- Unified look and feel for Okta Dashboard - Okta first-party app navigation menus and page background have an updated look
- Okta first-party App Switcher - An admin utility for quick navigation between Okta first-party apps
NOTE: The Okta first-party App Switcher feature is dependent on enabling the previous two features. The App Switcher is available only for admins right now, and will dynamically load based on role and Okta app access.
