User Experience when Configuring FastPass on a Managed Windows 10 Device Using DSSO

Okta Identity Engine

Overview

The following reconfiguration has been identified as part of the preparation needed to perform the upgrade to Okta Identity Engine (OIE).

 

NOTE: Additional Okta features may require reconfiguration or be disabled to complete the upgrade. This article describes the end-user experience when configuring FastPass on a Managed Windows 10 device that uses Desktop Single Sign-On (DSSO). 

Applies To

  • Configuring FastPass

  • Managed Windows 10 devices

  • Desktop Single Sign-On (DSSO)

  • Okta Identity Engine Upgrade

Solution

This is the end-user experience for opt-in to Okta Verify enrollment.
General Workstation configuration: Windows 10, domain joined, with Desktop SSO enabled.  
Network Posture: "On-Premise Network" or "Active VPN connection" 

Video Walk-through

Upon completion of the above process, the user will have been enrolled into Okta Verify to allow for FastPass Sign-in on subsequent sign-in.

Prerequisites

The following configuration must be completed prior to end-user access:

  • Okta Verify installed on device (Via MDM)
  • Sign-in Policy Configured with Device Enrollment Check
  • Bookmark application created & assigned to the above sign-in policy
  • Target End-User Granted Access to the bookmark application
  • Icon/Shortcut added to the Desktop to bookmark the App of the target end-user
