An Office 365 integration requires an update to change the federation method from manual to automatic. Update the federation method directly in the Office 365 application settings within the Okta Admin Console.

Solution
What are the steps to update the Office 365 federation method to automatic?
Update the federation method by navigating to the Office 365 application sign-on settings, selecting the automatic option, managing the verified domains, and authenticating with a Microsoft account.
- Navigate to the Sign On tab of the Office 365 integration.
- Select Edit.
- Select Automatic (recommended).
- Select Manage Verified Domains for the domains to federate.
- Select Authenticate (or Re-authenticate) with Microsoft Account.
- Select Save.
NOTE: Okta applies changes in real time, but Microsoft domain federation settings updates can take a variable amount of time. Microsoft typically applies the updates within a minute, but the process can sometimes take up to 24 hours.
