This article provides the steps to update an Office 365 federation from Manual to Automatic.

• Office 365
• Single Sign On (SSO)
• Okta Identity Engine

1. Navigate to the Sign On tab of the Office 365 integration.
2. Select Edit.
3. Select Automatic (recommended).
4. Perform a Fetch and Select for the domains to federate.
5. Select Authenticate (or Re-authenticate) with Microsoft Account.
6. Select Save.

NOTE: While changes made in Okta are applied in real time, Microsoft's domain federation settings updates can take a variable amount of time. Microsoft typically applies the updates within a minute, but this can sometimes take up to 24 hours.
