The "default value" Option Is Not Pulling Up a Blank Predefined Attribute Value when Creating a Custom Attribute in Okta

Depending on the requirements, it might be necessary to create custom attributes with predefined enumerated values and define a "default value" based on one of them.

Some of these enumerated values can have an empty value associated with them. However, when attempting to select such a "blank" enumeration within the "default value", it does not show up.

The reason why the empty/blank value is not displayed within the "default value" section when creating a custom attribute with predefined values and one or more such values are blank cannot be selected within the "default value" dropdown is related to the fact that the enumerations must have both a "display name" and a "value" associated with them.

If either the "display name" or the "value" is missing, the "display name" dropdown will not allow selection of those enumerations.

For an enumerated value to appear in the "default value" section, it must contain both a "display name" and a "value."
