This article discusses the supported group types that can be imported from O365/Azure AD using the Microsoft Office 365 Okta Integration Network (OIN) catalog app (both by having the Import Groups option checked under the Provisioning > Integration tab and by clicking the Import Now button under the Import tab).

• Okta can import the following group types from Office/Azure AD via the O365 app integration available in the OIN catalog:
  • Microsoft 365
  • Security
  • Distribution

• This can be verified in Microsoft Azure AD under Groups overview > All Groups, under the Group type and Source column.
• Okta can import Azure AD source Cloud groups during O365 group import. It does not import OnPrem AD-sourced groups during O365 group import. If the group source is Windows Server AD, these can not be brought to Okta via SCIM and will have to be configured via OnPrem AD directory integration Group Import.
