Overview
When provisioning a user to SmartSheet, the following error may be encountered:
Automatic provisioning of user <username> to app Smartsheet failed: User must be a licensed sheet creator to be a resource viewer or group administrator

Cause
SmartSheet requires that the Licensed user permission be selected when assigning a user with the Group Admin or Resource Viewer permissions.
Solution
Please follow the steps below:
- Go to the application SmartSheet.
- Click on Edit > edit the Assignment to include the Licensed user.
- Save the assignment.
- Confirm provisioning was successful.
