Cause
This error is related to the special characters including emojis, mathematical symbols, and/or foreign characters that are used in the groups and/or user names that is being attempted to be imported from Slack.
Solution

Verify that all the users and/or groups trying to be imported from Slack do not have any special characters including emojis, mathematical symbols, and/or foreign characters in their names.

Once the groups and/or username are corrected(i.e. remove any such unsupported characters), attempt the import again.
