Approval Sequences in Resource Centric Access Requests were designed to streamline the approval flow and questions, leveraging one or more conditions.
When we decided to eliminate the dependencies on Configuration lists, Teams, and other manual features within Request Types, Approval Sequences were born. Creating common Approval Sequences reduces the overall number of request flows and allows faster scalability.

Resource Centric Access Requests
To create a new Access Certification:

Log in to Okta as an Administrator with the Access Certification role or Super Admin.

Click any application to create a Resource Centric Access Request Condition.

Click the Access requests tab.

Click Create condition.

Create any condition or simply click the Select sequence button under the Approval sequence section.

Within the next screen, click the New Sequence plus sign button.

Configure the sequence with the appropriate questions and approvals, and save.

Configure any common Approval Sequences that might be used by other conditions.
Common reusable Approval Sequences to consider:

Manager Approval with Justification

Manager + IT Approval with Justification

IT + Security Approval with multiple questions

Group Approval with questions

Group Owner Approval with questions
