Reset the AD Password when Logging into Cisco ASA RADIUS

Overview

This article presents the steps to reset the AD password when logging into Cisco ASA RADIUS.

Applies To

  • RADIUS

  • Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

Solution

This is not a supported functionality. The ASA RADIUS client is used for MFA purposes.

However, to reset the AD password and use it to log into Cisco ASA RADIUS, please try these steps:

  1. Reset the password either in Okta with Delegated Authentication in place or reset it directly in AD.
  2. Log in with the new password via the ASA client.
