This article clarifies that initiating an Okta Verify FastPass remote push notification to a desktop device is impossible using an Application Programming Interface (API) or any other programmatic method.

Solution
There is no built-in functionality or Application Programming Interface (API) to trigger an Okta Verify push notification remotely on desktop devices. Okta FastPass is not supported via API because the authenticator is designed to require direct user interaction for both the enrollment and authentication processes.
