Overview

Ramp provisioning flow fails with the following error visible in the Okta dashboard:

Automatic profile push of user <username> to app Ramp failed: Error while trying to push profile update for <username>: Bad Request. Errors reported by remote server: Missing required information (enterprise)

Applies To

  • Provisioning
  • Error
Cause

Per the Ramp: Configuration Guide, the managerValue attribute value should be the user's manager's email address.

Attribute Value

This error can occur if the managerValue attribute mapping value is not set to the user's manager's email address. As shown in the screenshot above, another cause is when the Manager does not exist in Ramp.

In addition to this, the missing values for required attributes may also be the cause:

Required Attributes

Solution
  1. Navigate to Directory > Profile Editor > search for the Ramp user > Mappings > Okta User to Ramp tab. Ensure the managerValue attribute mapping is set to the user's manager's email address, and that all required attributes have valid values.
  2. Navigate to Dashboard > Tasks. Any failed tasks should appear under Tasks.
  3. After locating the failed task for the user that should be retried, click on Retry Selected.

NOTE: If the issue persists, contact Ramp support for more details about the error message.
