Push Groups to Snowflake

Applies To
  • Okta Identity Engine (OIE)
  • Push Groups
  • Created by rule
Solution

This is an expected product behavior.

  • Group push mappings by rule create group push mappings that match the rule criteria at the creation time. When the rule is active, it will continue to create new group push mappings that match the rule criteria. Existing group push mappings are not affected even if the rule is deactivated or changed. If certain groups match the criteria but are already pushed via different rules or standalone group push mapping creation, duplicate group push mappings are not created.
  • Changes to the group name on existing push groups do not affect the relationship between the Group Push rule and Group Push mappings even if it no longer matches the criteria. The group Push rule will list all the groups created by the rule. Think of the Group Push Rule as a way to bulk-create multiple group push mappings that match the criteria at the time of rule execution. Groups previously matched by the rule are not affected by a change in the rule or deactivation of the rule.
  • Individual group push mappings can be deleted from a rule or optionally delete all the groups from the rule by deleting the rule. With the latter option, all the group push mappings associated with the rule will be deleted even if they no longer match the rule criteria.
