Possibility to Set the Entitlement Description when Importing User Entitlements from CSV
Okta Classic Engine
Identity Governance
Okta Identity Engine
Overview

When importing user entitlements from CSV to provide governance capabilities, typically for a disconnected application, it is currently not possible to specify a description for the entitlement name or the entitlement values.

Applies To
  • Okta Identity Governance
  • Entitlement Management
  • Import Entitlements from CSV
Solution

Currently, there is no way to specify a description for the entitlement name or entitlement values when importing User Entitlements via CSV.  The CSV file format only allows for setting the entitlement name and value names as described in the User entitlement CSV guidelines section of the Import user entitlements from CSV documentation.  The description for the entitlement name will be set to a default value based on the name of the entitlement specified in the CSV file, and the description for the entitlement values will not be set:

Also, note that the Entitlements are read-only after they have been imported, and the descriptions cannot be edited.
