Okta Verify uses a primary loopback port and five fallback ports for probing during phishing-resistant authentication. Administrators require the specific ports used for this process to ensure successful port binding. If more than six instances of Okta Verify operate simultaneously on a server hosting multiple user sessions, the loopback mechanism fails to bind to a port, preventing the successful completion of phishing-resistant logins.
