Okta Verify operates exclusively in conjunction with an Okta tenant. Okta Verify collects device context and trust signals from Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) clients, such as CrowdStrike, Windows Security Center, or Chrome Device Trust. Okta Verify transmits these signals directly to Okta for evaluation against authentication policies in the Okta Admin Console.
Okta Verify lacks a supported capability to expose posture data via a local API or endpoint. Okta does not make the posture signals available for external consumption or analysis outside of the Okta integration. The Okta server performs policy evaluation to determine access decisions based on sign-in or device assurance policies, rather than Okta Verify performing the evaluation locally.
