Okta is transitioning to an updated product feature release schedule, with a more frequent cadence of innovation as we deploy new features and optimizations. This change takes effect with the October 2026 release.
Customers will see a change in how the releases are labeled, and administrators can also expect more frequent updates to the release notes as Okta transitions to this new model.

NOTE: This updated release schedule specifically applies to core platform feature updates across Okta Identity Engine (OIE) and Okta Classic Engine. Other Okta products maintain their respective release schedules.

What is the new Okta release schedule?
Okta is transitioning to an updated feature delivery release cadence starting in October 2026. Instead of using a YYYY.MM format, the new format will be YYYY.WW (WW = Week of the Year).
