When the user launches a Secure Web Authentication (SWA) application from the Okta Dashboard while the Okta Browser Plugin is installed, a pop-up may appear displaying the username and password, with Reveal, Copy to clipboard, and Open in New Tab buttons. This article details how to eliminate this pop-up.
- Okta Dashboard
- Secure Web Authentication (SWA) Application
- Okta Browser Plugin
- Okta Identity Engine (OIE)
This behavior occurs when the "Hide plugin installation/upgrade messages from end-users" setting in the Org's Customization settings for the Okta Browser Plugin is set to Yes.
- Navigate to Admin > Customizations > Other.
- Find the Okta Browser Plugin section and click Edit.
- Set the Hide plugin installation/upgrade messages from end users option to No.
- Click Save.
After this change, the additional pop-up will not appear when launching a SWA application. If the problem persists, refer to the Okta Browser Plugin guide for more information and potential troubleshooting scenarios.
