- Custom/Third-party application publishing submission for OIN app catalog
OIN (Okta Integration Network) is a list of pre-built applications prepared and ready to use for Okta customers. To submit the custom app (SAML/OIDC/LCM Provisioning) to be published into the Okta Integration Network App Catalog, must have access to the OIN Wizard tool, which is only available exclusively in Okta Integrator Free Plan orgs. For full details, please refer to the OIN Wizard Requirements.
To create a new OIN app submission using OIN Wizard, please do the following:
- Sign up for a free Okta Integrator Free Plan Org instance here if one is not already in place. (Only one org needed per customer account.)
- After signing up for free instance, log in to org with the Okta Admin role used to meet the OIN Wizard Role requirements, navigate to Okta Admin Console > Applications > Your OIN Integrations.
- Click on the Build new OIN integration button, and follow the OIN app integration wizard with step-by-step UX guidance on how to start building the new custom app for the integration, perform testing, and finally submit the app for review and publishing.
For questions or additional support to publish the app integration, please contact the Okta Developers Team directly at developers@okta.com.
NOTE:
-
Before starting, please read the OIN Submission Requirements and OIN limitations.
-
The Okta OIN team reviews all submissions on a best-case basis. If the Okta OIN team identifies any issues in the initial review and QA testing phases, an email with specific details will be sent. At any point in the process, check the status of the submission on the Your OIN Integrations Page in the Okta Admin Console.
-
To edit an existing live OIN app, use the Developer to log in and make modifications. The updated integration must be submitted using the same Integrator Free Plan org that was used to make the original submission; otherwise, the Okta OIN team will reject the update.
-
For internal applications, the App Integration Wizard can be used, which allows for the configuration of any SWA, SAML, or OIDC app.
