This behavior often happens if users are using the Slack desktop app(client) but on the web browser version.
Please note that the Slack app client will have and store the hardware memory cache, which could delay the app notification if the machine's resource usage spikes.
Or, the user's Okta email address does not match with their email address in the Slack profile.
Here are the available solutions or steps:
- Verify both Okta and Slack user profile email, making sure they match.
- Make sure users have the Slack app connected.
- Users may simply re-toggle the Slack preference button under their user profile, which will activate the Slack notification again.
- Users may simply clear the Slack desktop app cache to refresh and this will also fix the issue.
