Devices on macOS 15.0 configured with Desktop Password Sync may experience frozen UI states when new users enroll in the application. Admins managing Desktop Password Sync deployments are recommended to NOT upgrade to the latest macOS version until further notice.

Okta has identified an issue with interoperability between the Operating System and Okta Device Access that prevents new users from completing enrollment into Desktop Password Sync on machines running macOS 15.0.
This error results in the following behavior:
- New users enrolling in Desktop Password Sync will be asked to complete their registration by clicking Continue.
- When Continue is selected, the UI will not respond. There is no way to close this UI.
This implication is that:
- The enrollment flow will not finish for new users running Desktop Password Sync.
- The user’s password will not sync for new users running Desktop Password Sync.
Some workarounds that exist but may not consistently resolve the issue include:
- Restarting the device
- Logging in and logging out
- Lock and unlock the device
A solution to this issue is available in macOS Okta Verify version 9.33. This version is GA and can be downloaded in all Okta tenants.
