Overview
This article clarifies whether it is possible to edit or change the App Embed Link URL for an application within the administrator dashboard.

Cause
The Application Embed Link is automatically generated for each application and cannot be modified. When selecting Edit in the App Embed Link field, the Embed Link box becomes unavailable, and the information can only be copied.
Solution
The Application Embed Link is used to sign in to an application from a portal or another application outside Okta. Because the link is auto-generated and cannot be edited, the application must be re-integrated with the new information to generate a different link.
The following steps can be followed to check the Application Embed Link:
- Navigate to Applications > Applications.
- Select the desired application.
- Go to the General tab.
- Locate the App Embed Link section.
- If a new URL is required, delete the current application and perform the integration steps again.
