This article explains why a notification is received about an expiring Microsoft Office 365 certificate and provides a resolution.
- Microsoft Office 365
- Single Sign-On (SSO)
- Certificate
This situation occurs when the certificate for the Microsoft Office 365 application is approaching its expiration date.
Follow the steps in the Update Office 365 Single Sign-on Applications to Support SHA 256 Algorithm documentation to update the certificate.
NOTE: The certificate used for the Office 365 integration may display an expiration date shorter than the 10 years typically seen in other Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) applications. This is expected behavior for this specific integration. While we are currently working on a long-term solution, the steps outlined in the above documentation are needed to update the certificate for now.
