Dynamic Attribute Statement Configuration is a significant feature in Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) applications, as it enables them to use and process additional attributes sent by Okta to the application. This guide provides instructions for finding this configuration for Okta Integration Network (OIN) SAML applications.

Solution

To locate the Dynamic Attribute Statement configuration for OIN SAML applications, follow the video or the steps below:


 

  1. Log in to Okta Admin Console.
  2. Navigate to Applications > Applications.
  3. Locate the desired OIN SAML application, then click it.
  4. Go to the Sign On tab and click Edit.
  5. Scroll to the Default Relay State field.
  6. Locate the Attributes (Optional) section and select the arrow to expand it to view the Attribute Statements (Optional) and Group Attribute Statements (Optional).

NOTE: For applications created with the SAML Wizard (Custom SAML applications), the Attribute Statements option is now located under the Sign On tab.
