"Invalid Login" Error When Uploading WebADI Templates Through Okta Access Gateway
Access Gateway
Okta Identity Engine
Overview

This article addresses an issue where users encounter an invalid login error when attempting to upload a Web Applications Desktop Integrator (WebADI) template to Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) integrated with Okta Access Gateway (OAG). The error occurs after downloading a template, and the original session either closes or times out. Subsequent attempts to upload that previously downloaded template result in the following message:

invalid login

Applies To
  • Okta Access Gateway (OAG)
  • Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS)
  • Web Applications Desktop Integrator (WebADI)
  • Single Sign-On (SSO)
  • Okta Identity Engine (OIE)
Cause

The issue occurs because the session cookie path is not correctly handled during the handshake between the external gateway and the internal application after a session timeout or closure. This prevents the application from validating the credentials associated with the saved template.

Solution

To resolve this issue, add the proxy_cookie_path directive to the OAG nodes. Detailed instructions regarding this fix are available in the Oracle support documentation.

NOTE: Accessing the full Oracle support document (Oracle Support Document 975772) requires Oracle credentials.
