Some users on macOS devices are experiencing problems with the new Early Access feature "Inline step-up flow for User Verification with Okta Verify".

Cause
The minor version of Okta Verify for macOS compatible with the "Inline step-up flow for User Verification with Okta Verify" feature is 9.40.0.
Solution
Ensure that the Okta Verify version on macOS devices is at least 9.40.0 so that users can be guided through any necessary configuration steps to meet the user verification requirements defined in authentication policies.
