Overview

Okta requires users to complete Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) or enter a password when navigating to Settings and selecting Edit Profile. Administrators cannot remove this prompt, as Okta enforces this security measure to ensure only authorized users alter account configurations.

Can the authentication prompt for profile edits be removed?

Administrators cannot remove the MFA or password prompt that Okta displays when users navigate to Settings and select Edit Profile. Okta enforces this additional security measure to ensure that only the authenticated user can alter account settings and passwords.
