Impact of Upgrading Okta Active Directory and RADIUS Agents on the Same Server

Overview
Administrators upgrading an Okta Active Directory (AD) agent or an Okta RADIUS agent hosted on the same server do not impact the other agent. Okta agent installations operate independently, allowing multiple agent types to coexist on a single server without interference during upgrades.

Does upgrading the Okta Active Directory agent affect the Okta RADIUS agent on the same server?
Okta agent installations operate independently of each other. Upgrading one agent, such as the Okta AD agent, does not affect the functionality or configuration of the Okta RADIUS agent hosted on the same server. Administrators can install and upgrade multiple types of agents for various features on a single server without requiring mitigation steps.
NOTE: While the agent upgrades do not interfere with one another, administrators should still plan for a standard maintenance window. If the server OS requires a reboot following the upgrade (for example, due to a bundled .NET Framework update or pending Windows Updates), both agents will experience temporary downtime during the restart.
