This article explains how to add a custom Attribute from BambooHR to Okta.
- In the example below, a custom attribute named "Telegram" was created in BambooHR and should be added to Okta.
NOTE: Okta/BambooHR provisioning can only be imported from the BambooHR User object schema, not the BambooHR custom table.
- BambooHR
- Provisioning
- Schema discovery
- Profile Editor
- Go to Okta Admin Console and navigate to Directory > Profile Editor > BambooHR User > click Add Attribute.
- Click on the Refresh Attribute List button to refresh the attribute schema. Okta will do a schema discovery to populate the list of available application attributes. When the schema discovery is finished, a list of attributes that Okta has permission to discover will be visible.
- Select the required custom attribute from the list ("Telegram" in this example) and click Save.
- Refresh the page and confirm that the custom attribute is added successfully.
