How to Restore a Modified Email Template Back to the Default One

Overview

After making changes to an email template, Admins are often required to revert their changes. Using this article, learn how to revert a modified email template back to the default one.

Applies To

Solution

Follow the video or the steps below:

  1. Go to Customizations > Brands > Select the brand that needs to be modified > Emails > and click Edit.
  2. Select the email template required to restore, for example, User Activation, and click on Edit next to Translations.

  1. Click Reset all customized templates, and confirm to reset all the email templates. The reset will be applied only from the corresponding template; in the above example, only the Activation Email template will be reset.

  1. If an email template has more than one customization, the template set as the default cannot be restored. In this case, change the default and then access the restore flow.
