Generate a Report of Applications Requiring VPN Access
Administration
Okta Classic Engine
Okta Identity Engine
Overview

This article describes how to generate a report of applications that require a Virtual Private Network (VPN) connection for access. When a user attempts to access one of these applications without an active VPN connection, access is denied, and a padlock icon appears on the application tile.

Applies To
  • Application Sign-On Policies
Solution

Application Sign-On Policies can be configured to require a VPN connection. The following steps describe how to export these policies to identify which applications have this requirement. These steps require the use of a third-party browser extension.

  1. Install the Rockstar Browser Extension.
  2. In the Okta Admin Console, go to Applications > Applications.
  3. From the Rockstar extension menu, select Export App Sign On Policies. A Comma-Separated Values (CSV) file that contains all application policies downloads.
