The Okta Browser Plugin offers an alternative for Single Sign-On (SSO) applications that require user credentials but do not support the Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML). This article explains how the Plugin can be enabled for Incognito/Private sessions.

Okta Browser Plugin can be enabled to work on Incognito sessions across different search engines.
Steps on how it can be set up for each browser are detailed below.
For Chrome
- Open a new tab in Chrome and open the Ellipsis Menu (⋮).
- Select Settings and open the Extensions tab. Alternatively, navigate to chrome://extensions/.
- Search for the Okta Browser Plugin extension and click on Details.
- Toggle the Allow in Incognito switch to enable/disable the Plugin for Incognito sessions.
For Safari
- Open Safari on the computer.
- Click on the Safari menu in the top left corner of the screen and select “Settings…”.
- In the Settings window, click on the Extensions tab.
- Look for the Okta Browser Plugin in the list of extensions and select it.
- Check the Allow in Private Browsing box.
- Close the Preferences window and restart Safari.
For Edge
- Open Edge, and click the ⋯ in the menu bar at the top of any window or tab.
- Navigate to the Extensions section.
- Under the Extensions heading in the toolbar, find the Okta Browser Plugin.
- Click the ⋯ menu beside the extension’s name.
- Click Manage Extension.
- Check Allow in InPrivate.
