The article outlines the process for enabling or disabling password sync between Okta and Snowflake.
- Okta Integration Network
- Provisioning
- Password sync
Although password synchronization is configured in the Snowflake application under Provisioning > To App, the desired state (enabled or disabled) is not achieved. This is because there is also the Sync_pass option on the Snowflake side that needs to be set to true or false, depending on the need.
Activation or deactivation of the Sync Password functionality requires steps in both environments:
- Okta Configuration
Adjust the synchronization status by navigating to the Snowflake application's Provisioning > To App section and enabling the Sync password option with the appropriate sub-setting.
- Snowflake Configuration
The SYNC_PASSWORD property, located in the Snowflake SCIM Security Integration, is set to TRUE by default. To effectively disable password synchronization, this property must be set to FALSE concurrently.
