Overview
The goal of this knowledge article is to present to an Okta Administrator how to clear a user session using the Okta Admin Console.

Solution



 

  1. Sign in to the Admin Console.

  2. Navigate to Directory > People.

  3. Search for the user.

  4. Scroll down to click the user link.

  5. On the user's profile page, find the More Actions button.

    • NOTE: This will not appear if logged on as the user whose profile page is loaded.

  6. Click More Actions Clear User Sessions.

NOTE:

  • Clear user session option is only available for Active users. Users in a password reset state or who have been reactivated will not have the option to Clear User Sessions.
  • In Okta Classic, Clear User Sessions clears the main sign-in session, but the MFA cookie is not deleted because Keep me signed in is implemented separately.
