A deleted Pushed Group cannot be cleared from the Okta Access Request application. The group remains visible within the application's interface despite being unlinked.
- Okta Access Request
- Okta Identity Engine (OIE)
- Push Group
- Group Linking
This issue occurs when the Unlink Pushed Group > Leave the group in the target app option is selected during group unlinking. This action leaves the group entry within the Okta Access Request application, and it cannot be removed directly from the interface.
Okta has acknowledged this Okta Access Request app bug and will have the product owner fix this in the next release.
The following steps provide a workaround to remove the group:
- Create a new Okta Group with the exact same name as the group pushed to the Okta Access Request application.
- Run Refresh application data if the link group does not yet exist in Okta. After refreshing, two groups with the same name are present (one Okta group and one app group imported from Okta Access Request).
- Go to Applications > Okta Access Request > Push Groups tab.
- Link the newly created Okta group to the existing group in Okta Access Request.
- Unlink the pushed group and select the Delete the group in the target app (recommended) option.
- Verify the group is deleted by navigating to Access Request > Settings > Pushed groups tab.
- Delete the temporary Okta group created in step 1 if it is no longer needed.
