Follow the steps or video below.
Manual User Addition:
- Access the Admin Console,
- Select Directory, and then People.
- Click Add person.
- Choose a user type, either default or from a provided list.
- Enter user details: First name, Last name, and Username (in email format).
- Include primary email if different from username.
- Add a secondary email (optional).
- Assign user to groups if necessary.
- Set password (decide if the user or admin sets it).
- Choose activation options, including sending an activation email and password change requirements at first login.
- Click Save or Save and Add Another to continue adding users.
Just-In-Time Provisioning:
- Access the Admin Console.
- Go to Directory > Directory Integrations.
- Select an Active Directory instance.
- Access the Provisioning tab and select To Okta.
- Click Edit in the General section.
- Enable JIT provisioning by ticking the Create and update users on login checkbox.
- Save the settings.
- NOTE: JIT provisioning is effective only for users without existing Okta profiles. It updates existing profiles during a full import.
