How does Okta determine the display language for SMS messages?
Okta evaluates the language settings in a specific order of priority to determine the correct language for SMS messages. Review the following priority list to understand the evaluation order and locate the corresponding settings in the Okta interface.
- End-User Dashboard Display Language: Okta first checks if the user selected and saved a specific language. Users configure this by navigating to Settings in the End-User Dashboard and updating the Display language.
- Organization-Wide Display Language: If the user does not specify a language, Okta uses the organization-wide display language. Administrators configure this by navigating to Brands in the Admin Console, selecting the target brand, and updating the Display language under Settings.
