End users must occasionally update the credentials used for specific applications within the Okta End-User Dashboard. Update the application credentials by accessing the application settings menu and entering the new username and password.

How are application credentials updated in the Okta End-User Dashboard?
Access the application settings menu from the Okta End-User Dashboard to enter and save the new username and password by watching the video below or following the steps below.
- Sign in to the Okta End-User Dashboard.
NOTE: To sign in to the Okta End-User Dashboard, navigate to the specific Okta URL (for example,<subdomain>.okta.com) in a web browser, enter the username and password, and complete any required multi-factor authentication (MFA) prompts. - Locate the application requiring a credential update.
- Select the three dots in the upper right-hand corner of the application icon.
- Select Edit in the bottom right corner of the settings panel that opens on the right side of the dashboard.
- Enter the new username and password in the respective fields.
- Select Save in the bottom right corner.
- Open the application to verify the successful credential update.
NOTE: If updating the username and password is not possible, contact the internal IT helpdesk or the respective organization administrator to configure the credentials.
