Okta Google Workspace Error "This account cannot be accessed because the login credentials could not be verified"

Overview
When attempting to access Google Workspace via Okta Single Sign-On (SSO), an authentication error occurs because the SSO profile assignment is set to None in the Google Workspace integration. Resolve this by changing the SSO profile assignment in the Google Admin console. The following error message appears during the login attempt:
This account cannot be accessed because the login credentials could not be verified.

Cause
The SSO profile assignment is set to None on the Google Workspace integration, which prevents profiles from being updated by a third-party SSO provider.
Solution
How is the Google Workspace login credentials error resolved?
Verify any recent changes in the Google Admin audit log and update the SSO profile assignment settings in the Google Admin console.
- Navigate to the Google Admin console and select Reporting, followed by Audit, to verify any changes around the time the issue started.
- Go to Security, select SSO with third-party IDPs, and choose Manage SSO profile assignments.
- Locate the SSO profile assignment setting currently set to None and change it to SSO profile assignment.
