Gong Push Group Error "Authorization failed: the auth user of the access token is deactivated"

Overview

Gong push group fails with the following error visible in the Okta dashboard:

Errors reported by remote server: Invalid JSON: Unrecognized token 'Authorization': was expecting (JSON String, Number, Array, Object or token 'null', 'true' or 'false') at [Source: (String)"Authorization failed: the auth user of the access token is deactivated"; line: 1, column: 14]

Cause

This error occurs if the Gong account used to create the API connection has been deactivated in the Gong application.

Solution
  1. Go to Okta Admin Console and navigate to Applications > Applications > Gong > Provisioning > Integration > click the Edit button.
  2. Click Re-authenticate with Gong.
  3. In the new Gong window, enter the correct active account to sign into Gong.
  4. Click Allow to let Okta access the account.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Then navigate to Applications > Applications > Gong > Push Groups, and attempt the group push again.
