Overview
Global Relay Identity Connector provisioning flow fails with the following error visible in the Okta dashboard:
Automatic provisioning of user <username> to app Global Relay Identity Connector failed: Error while verifying if user <username> exists: Unauthorized. Errors reported by remote server: Authentication failure. The authentication header is invalid or missing

Cause
The Global Relay Identity Connector username and password used to create the API connection are invalid.
Solution
- Go to Okta Admin Console and navigate to Applications > Applications > Global Relay Identity Connector > Provisioning > Integration > Edit.
- Enter the Global Relay system user's username.
- Enter the system user's password.
- Click Test API Credentials, verify the connection was successful, and then click Save.
- Attempt the failed tasks again. Navigate to Dashboard > Tasks. Any failed assignments should appear under the Tasks section.
- After locating the failed task for the user that should be retried, click on Retry Selected.
