Get the Okta SCIM Integration to Use PUT Requests Instead of PATCH When Updating Users (OIN)
Last Updated:
Overview
This article describes how to submit an SCIM Integration to the OIN and have it use PUT requests instead of PATCH when updating users.
Applies To
- SCIM provisioning integration
- Okta Integration Network (OIN)
- Okta Classic Engine
Solution
If the SCIM integration supports PATCH requests for user operations, select the Support PATCH for User when submitting the SCIM integration to the Okta Integration Network via the OIN Wizard. However, be aware that the SCIM server must support PATCH for Group operations (provided the integration will support this functionality).
NOTE: SCIM integrations created using the Application Integration Wizard (for example, custom applications) use PUT by default, and they cannot be reconfigured to use PATCH for updates.
