This article examines the possibility of creating a custom Secure Web Authentication (SWA) application with three fields, one dynamic.
- Secure Web Authentication (SWA)
- Dynamic Fields
- Application Integration
Okta does not currently support creating a custom SWA application with a dynamic third field.
It is possible to establish a custom SWA application with three fields using the Template Plugin App 3 Fields application. However, the third field in this configuration is static, implying that it cannot be customized to possess a unique value for each user.
Should a custom SWA application with a dynamic third field be required, custom integration using Okta's APIs should be considered.
Alternatively, it might be advisable to explore other authentication protocols, like SAML or OIDC, which could better meet these requirements.
