Error "Invalid domain format. Requires e.g. domain.com" when Configuring Public Domain for New Okta Access Gateway Applications

Overview
When creating a new Protected Application in Okta Access Gateway, the following error message is presented for the Public Domain field.
Invalid domain format. Requires e.g. domain.com
Applies To
- Okta Access Gateway release 2023.9.1 and below
- Public Domains with Top-Level Domain (TLDs) Longer Than 6 Characters
- Okta Classic Engine
- Okta Identity Engine (OIE)
Cause
The regular expression used in the domain validation would throw an error for a valid domain.
Solution
To resolve the issue, upgrade Okta Access Gateway to version 2023.11.0 or newer.
