This guide will teach you how to encrypt and decrypt text in Okta Workflows.

Solution

Okta Workflows has two cards to encrypt and decrypt text:
 

• Encryption – Encrypt.
• Encryption – Decrypt.

The following flow shows how to use the cards:

The flow has the following steps:

Create text

The Text – Compose card creates the text to encrypt.

Encrypt text

The Encryption – Encrypt card encrypts text using one of the available algorithms and a key:
 

Encryption algorithms.

Decrypt text

To decrypt the text, use the Encryption—Decrypt card. You must use the same algorithm and key.

Running the flow

The flow encrypts and then decrypts the text May the Force be with you.
