EMAIL_2FA_AUTHN Feature is Enabled in Classic
Okta Classic Engine
Administration

The following documentation has been identified to review as part of the preparation needed to perform the upgrade to Okta Identity Engine (OIE). Note, that additional Okta features may require reconfiguration or will need to be disabled in order to complete the upgrade.

FF - EMAIL_2FA_AUTHN_ENTITLEMENT

EMAIL_2FA_AUTHN will be disabled. In case of a rollback, please have Okta Support re-enable this flag once the org has been rolled back to classic.

Upgrade Eligibility: Consent Required

How does this impact the upgrade to OIE?

No impact; this feature will not prevent the Okta Identity Engine upgrade; nor any significant impact to the way Okta Identity Cloud functions post-upgrade.

This is being called out in the event the upgrade is reverted to classic; the feature “EMAIL_2FA_AUTHN” will need to be reinstated manually through support.

How do I remediate this?

No action required, however the best practice would be to contact your Account Team to convert your Okta tenant to “SKU edition” to align with the standard configuration/product offering.

Reconfiguration Impact

Ensure all of the entitled capabilities would be enabled.

Post-Upgrade Impact

Not applicable, this setting is no longer needed.

Is there additional training or information I can use to help me with this remediation?

No
