Overview
Google Workspace is composed of several constituent applications: Gmail, Drive, Sheets, Docs, etc. In some scenarios, one might like to allow access to Gmail for devices running iOS but would be looking to block access to Google Drive for devices running iOS. This article aims to explain why it is not possible to configure different Okta Authentication Policies for these constituent Google applications.

Solution
Authentication Policies cannot be applied to individual Google applications within Google Workspace. Once configured, an authentication policy will be applied at the application integration level, meaning the Google Workspace Okta integration, which will, in turn, apply the rules to all the constituent services within the Google suite.
