Overview
This article clarifies whether a new custom domain is activated immediately upon addition and whether the status of a custom domain can be toggled between active and inactive.

Solution
Activation Timing: During the setup of a new custom domain, specific Domain Name System (DNS) entries must be updated. Before the DNS entries are verified, the custom domain is not active and remains in the custom domain list with a status of Setup in progress. To activate the domain, select Edit and Continue setup in the Actions column.
Status Toggling: No option exists to toggle the current status of a custom domain. If deactivating an active domain is required, select Edit and Remove domain in the Actions column.
